2nd Hand Grass with Gene Parsons is a unique North Coast jewel that sparkles brightly with modern takes on traditional and popular contemporary songs that make you slap your leg and dance with joy.

What started out in 2018 as a bluegrass jam session with a couple local players eventually grew into the exciting Americana band we know and love today. As new members joined the group, they added new sounds and perspectives, allowing the band to explore and blend many genres while still staying true to their bluegrass roots. Gene Parsons, our resident music legend, who played with The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Nashville West, and many others, joined this creative collaboration a few years ago adding his experience, and musical hijinks.

Today, 2nd Hand Grass’ music is something borrowed, something blue, and always new with:
