Duniya

Back in Caspar for a second time, Duniya is a band comprised of musicians from Mali, India, and the US, which fuses together ancient and modern sounds and instruments. Guaranteed to move your body and soul.

Lead Singer Oumou Mariko and djembe player Drissa Kone both hail from Bamako, Mali and have a deeply rooted mastery of traditional Malian music and dance. Greg Fletcher, formerly of Soul Union, arranges the music and plays a 12 stringed harp/lute from Mali called the Kamelengoni.  Their newest member Srishti Biryani Oswald is a young Indian Bansuri flute phenom, adding a rich and sweet texture to the music. With Ben Isaacs on Bass and Max Rea on drum set our current lineup is a real powerhouse of diversely talented world musicians.

Doors at 6pm. Music at 7pm. Sliding scale cover $10-$30.

Beer, wine, soft drinks, and delicious food from chefs-in-residence Petite Percebes will be available for purchase.
