Good Bones Kitchen hits your funny bone with our inaugural Funny Bones Comedy Night. Three headline comedians from the Bay Area provide an evening of laughter that will stimulate your perspectives and soothe your soul.
Headliner: Phil Johnson
Phil Johnson has an action-packed show filled with his two loves, comedy and music. It’s a show filled with sharp unexpected turns, sneak attack jokes, and hilarious songs that don’t shy away from controversial territory… race, sex, religion, and doughnuts – so many doughnuts – all delivered from the viewpoint of a guy who happily grew up in the deeply multi-everything community of the San Francisco Bay Area. Phil has been seen and heard at the Sundance Film Festival, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on Sirius/XM, Bob and Tom radio, and Amazon Prime. He’s also released multiple comedy specials and albums filled with his colorful, tightly-written comedy.
Host: Ira Summer
Ira Summer has used his pain to make people laugh for over a decade. As an aging Baby Boomer growing up in a large dysfunctional family, he has a lot to share. Ira often talks about his sons, his siblings, and his mother (but never his ex-wife, because she will sense it). Ira has performed at clubs (and casinos and colleges and bars and conference rooms and laundromats and bowling alleys..) in 28 states, and can be heard on Sirius XM. He has been a finalist in the US Comedy Contest and The World Series of Comedy. Ira participated in the Oakland Comedy Festival, the Comedy Fringe Festival, the Portland Comedy Festival, the Burbank Comedy Festival and the Laughlin Laugh Fest.
Opener: Frankie Anne
Frankie Anne is a dynamic comedian and performer who recently opened on national headliner Mike Marino’s “Welcome to the Family” tour and for comedy legend Craig Shoemaker, aka The Lovemaster. She served as Producer/Director for Shoemaker's podcast Still Standing Up w/ Craig Shoemaker and was also a producer for Showtime’s Live Nude Comedy and various other TV and film productions. Frankie Anne has also dazzled audiences in Broadway comedy musical tours of West Side Story as Anita and Smokey Joe’s Café as Brenda. She’s also appeared in numerous TV and film roles and toured as a vocalist with iconic bands like Big Brother and The Holding Co. and on Barbara Streisand’s Timeless tour. With her sharp wit, east coast attitude, and background steeped in music, Frankie’s stand-up comedy is a unique blend of humor and raw storytelling. Her comedy delivers an entertaining and raw take on relationships, hilariously exposing encounters with the men in her life, like a serial predator and other unforgettable characters, making her performances relatable and entertaining.
