Mike Beck's mastery of the guitar works wonderfully to support his original songs, story telling, and wide array of the American songbook. From traditional cowboy songs , to Dylan and Haggard,and Woody Guthrie , Mike has a deep appreciation of master songwriters.  Ian Tyson took him under his wing, mentoring him on songwriting and performing. They remained close friends until Ian's passing. He's performed all over the U.S. and Europe, from House Concerts and barns, to festivals and The Country Music Hall of Fame. ​

His songs have been recorded by such artists as Mary McCaslin, Colter Wall, and Ian Tyson.

Mike just finished up a tour opening for Dave Alvin and The Third Mind.... last year he performed at The Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco alongside such greats as Jackson Browne, Joan Baez, and  Steve Earle, in a tribute to Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
