Saturday, November 2nd Good Bones Kitchen offers an exceptional treat with two stellar groups; Splendid Torch, a touring bluegrass trio from the Boston area, and local favorites Angie Heimann & Gwyneth Moreland.

Splendid Torch dwells in spontaneity and synthesis, conjuring an unexpectedly broad sound from just three musicians. Comprised of multi-instrumentalists Lily Sexton (lead vocals, fiddle, guitar), Sean Davis (acoustic and electric guitar, vocals), and Josh Ballard (bass, clawhammer banjo), Splendid Torch calls on textured lyricism, collective rhythmic feel, and poignant vocal performances that evoke their varied influences, ranging from George Harrison to Emmylou Harris, The Band to John Hartford.

Guitaress and songwriter Angie Heimann, leader of the Blushin’ Roulettes, belts her stirring songs of damsels in their bliss and distress in a clarion vibrato often likened to Iris Dement. Gwyneth Moreland’s gift for open-hearted storytelling perfectly suits the modern art of folk music. Her remarkable range and supple tones are the result of an exceptional talent and years of experience as a vocalist. Joining this spectacular duo will be Cas Sochacki on bass.
